PROJECT 2: DESIGN PROPOSITION
I want to create a house with a corridor to enhance the horror atmosphere. However, since I'm unsure about the best placement that won't affect movement, I looked for references.
I used blue-green as the ambiance, and we will later use a blue tone as the rendering style to create a sense of oppression. I have roughly sketched the lighting effects inside the house and will later create more detailed and complete illustrations and then testing in Unreal Engine.

Week 4: The environment design needs to be more stylized. Can model and move the camera to get different scenes.
Due to limited time, I was only able to sketch the environment for now. However, I plan to complete detailed illustrations and props later to refine the scene.
In Unreal Engine, I tested some basic interaction mechanics, such as opening doors. Since I am not very familiar with the software, this process took me quite a long time. Initially, I used line trace for door interactions, but I found it difficult to aim accurately. To improve usability, I am currently experimenting with dot widgets, which are commonly used in games for interaction.
When facing technical challenges, I sought help from ChatGPT and looked up tutorials on YouTube. This experience reinforced the importance of problem-solving and continuous learning in game development. Moving forward, I hope to improve my efficiency in Unreal Engine and refine the interaction mechanics for a smoother gameplay experience.
