INSTRUCTIONS
EXERCISES: QUANTIFIABLE INFORMATION
EXERCISE 1
– Quantify raw data and visualize information as a photograph
A is a visual representation of numerical data that allows for easy interpretation and analysis.
Instruction:
Gather a set of objects and separate it into category such as color, shape, pattern, and other quantifiable factor.
Example:
1. Box of Lego
2. Jar of button
3. Jar of marble ball
4. Set of colourful rubber strap
In this exercise you're required to quantify our chosen objects and arrange them into a presentable layout or chart.
The information must be presented as is, and you need to arrange the objects with relevant indicators written out with pens to help you to visualize the quantity and data. The examples of objects that can be use are buttons, coins, lego pieces, M&Ms, and more.
Submission:
E-Portfolio report consists of
1. Photo of the random objects before sorting out
2. Objects sorted out by categories (2 - 5 category)
3. Write and design the information on a piece of papers.

2. You are required to use the digital photo editing/illustration software available to assemble the information into a LATCH infographic poster.
3. You are allowed to reuse back the images but you have to create the rest of visuals to complete the poster.
REQUIREMENTS:

Before designing my infographic poster, I gather enough information about Chinese Tea. Then I sketch out my ideas using Procreate.
I used a teapot icon to show the timeline and fermentation hierarchy but it looks weird. I tried to put the images of tea leaves to show where they are from, but it doesn't have enough space to put the names of the places. Then, my friend told me that I could label out the areas.
Fig 2.3 Progress 1
Since the specific areas looked small when I used the whole China map, I used 3D tools in Photoshop to make a zoom-in 3D map of the tea areas.

FEEDBACK
Week 2: The topic is necessary.
Week 3: Adjust the space between the topics. The words are hard to see when the background color is dark, change the words' color.
REFLECTION
Through this exercise, I learned how to create a neat and visually appealing infographic poster. I also gained an understanding of the essential information an infographic poster should include.
While working on the layout, I had some doubts, but I was able to resolve them by researching and receiving feedback from my lecturer.
