Fig 2.2 Boss's Carving on the Wall and Dead Bodies of Androids

The boss decorates the opera hall with her own statues to signify that it is her territory. She hangs the corpses of androids on the walls, serving both as decoration and a show of dominance. The hall also features portraits of the amusement park queen, indicating her loyalty to the queen. The walls and carpets are adorned with common European patterns.

FEEDBACK

Week 7: The window is super large, reduce it.

Week 9: Refine, look at opera space. No need to be detailed but need big shape. Draw the actual dead body of androids.

Week 10: Add notes and explanation.

Week 11: Use models like assets and incorporate them into the 3D environment. Place the boss and character inside the 3D model to create a dynamic scene. Utilize BPR render, Unity, or Blender to achieve accurate color and shadow effects. Break down the statue details as well, using either 3D modeling or photobashing techniques for added depth and realism.

Week 13: Add lighting and colour it.

REFLECTION

In this interior and set design assignment, I encountered several significant challenges. Balancing aesthetics and practicality while creating mood boards and sketches was a primary difficulty. Transforming abstract ideas into concrete designs while maintaining a cohesive overall style was particularly challenging. Additionally, the attention to detail required in asset design and ambiance studies played a crucial role in the final outcome. Choosing the right colors, textures, and lighting to make the space realistic and visually appealing demanded repeated trials and adjustments. Time management was another significant challenge. Managing multiple versions of the final design within a limited timeframe while ensuring high standards proved to be a difficult yet valuable learning experience.

Throughout the process, my emotions fluctuated between stress and fulfillment. At the beginning, I felt somewhat anxious when facing design challenges, especially when inspiration was lacking or when the first drafts failed to meet expectations. However, as the design gradually took shape, each small improvement brought a sense of accomplishment. Refining the initial drafts into final versions provided me with a deep sense of personal growth and skill enhancement. By the end, I felt a sense of satisfaction with the final outcomes. While there is still room for improvement, the overall experience has left me feeling confident about my future endeavors.

Looking ahead, I plan to focus on several areas to further develop my skills and approach. First, I aim to enhance my technical skills by improving my proficiency with design software, particularly in modeling and rendering, to achieve greater visual impact. Second, I want to deepen my understanding of design theory by studying spatial layouts, color coordination, and human-computer interaction to strengthen the foundation of my future designs. Lastly, I plan to optimize my workflow from concept to final product by creating more effective schedules and processes to improve efficiency and reduce stress.

This project has been a significant learning experience, providing me with valuable insights and setting a solid foundation for future growth in my design journey.
